I listened to Senator John Cornyn the other day at a rally and one thing that is not being brought out about Obama is that he has consistently voted to the LEFT of Ted Kennedy as well as more socialistic than even the one registered socialist in congress.

This man scares me to death. Couple that with the anticipated loss of congressional seats to Democrats… this is a very, very bad time for our country if he is elected. Fortunately, he seems to be a follower and not a leader. In that respect, it depends on who leads him.

The entire way we live might be changed. For those of you making over $100,000 a year, it will mean an additional $6000 in taxes. It will mean the inheritance taxes are reinstated. Business will be taxed more heavily than ever before. With his changes the deficit is already predicted to reach 7 TRILLION in the first two years. The dollar is already so weak that it cannot compete on the world market, thus we will continue to pay exorbitant rates for fuel, energy and food.

Then there are the Republicans who are really nothing more than RINOS (Republican in Name Only). Very few truly stand for Republican principles of smaller government and lower taxes while opening up opportunity for the expansion of the economy.

So, what do we do? I think that this is probably the worst choices I have ever had since I started voting in the 1976 Election. (DID NOT VOTE FOR MR. GIVEAWAY CARTER!) McCain is far from what I would have chosen for a candidate. He is right on some issues, but on others, he is just plain wrong. Would that we had someone who would stand up for GODLY principles rather than expediency. That just does not seem to be on anyones radar these days.

I suppose the only consolation we have is in knowing that God is in control and as it says in Proverbs 21:1 - The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases. So, no matter how much the corrupt human heart can try to cast off all restraint from above, God still knows and controls the outcome. This, and this alone is cause for rejoicing.
